In air-suspension systems, air springs replace coil springs. The system uses an onboard compressor, which is an electric pump, to feed air to the bags through multiple lines. The compressor pulls outside air into the pump, compresses the air and transfers it to the bags.
An air suspension (sometimes called air springs) may take more time to install and cost a little more than other helper springs, but it's worth it for drivers who want improved performance and handling while hauling and towing.
